The 24/7 safety patrol team and the 52 camera surveillance system have not only deterred crime but also assists many law enforcement agencies in obtaining criminal convictions; thus making our streets safer for our businesses, employees and residential neighbors that frequent the district.

Maintenance

The BID contracts with Los Angeles Conservation Corps to provide bi-weekly cleaning including sidewalk sweeping, bulky item removal, and graffiti abatement. On any given month, we dispose of nearly 10,000 pounds of trash, up to 200 illegally dumped bulky items and remove nearly 100 graffiti tags. These much-needed services are vital to SLAIT continuing as a thriving industrial district. The BID also pressures washes the sidewalks in the district quarterly and trims the trees annually.
